CGS734 - Analogue Shift Register
Let's Go Shopping

The CGS734 ASR is a sequential sample and hold module for producing arabesque-like forms in musical space. Whenever pulsed, the previously held voltage is sent down the line to three consecutive outputs to produce the electrical equivalent of a canonic musical structure.

Unlike ASRs produced using "bucket brigade" techniques, the CV outputs are constant from the beginning of the cycle to the end - there is no "charge period" in which a brief glide is heard. The CV input/output range of the ASR is approximately +/- 10V.

To cascade the unit with others, connect the clock inputs to the same trigger source, and connect [OUT 3] of the first ASR to [CV IN] of the second ASR.

NB: If mounting the CGS734 hard against the right-hand side of your rack it is advised that you use a power cable that does not have a strain-relief fitted at the module end.
