Constructors should refer to the Component Overlays along with,
the Bill of Materials for the current value of all components, and
the General Construction Notes for general PCB assembly guidelines.
- Assemble all PCBs excluding the Column 2 PCB. When building the Column 3-6 PCBs, first prepare the pots by cutting off their anti-rotation stubs using a pair of, preferably old, cutters.
- On the Column 2 PCB
- Mount the headers for S5 and S6 on to their Carrier PCBs ensuring that the PCB sits firmly on the separator bar of the header
- Install switches S5 and S6 on to their Carrier PCBs
- Mount the S5 & S6 assemblies on to the Column 2 PCB ensuring that the separator bar is resting firmly against the Column 2 PCB
- Install S1, S2, & S4 on to their respective Carrier PCBs
- Mount the S3 and the Carrier assemblies on to the Column 2 PCB but do not solder
- Offer the sub-assembly up to the panel and secure using the associated nuts and washers
- Check that each of the switch bodies are parallel to the Column 2 PCB and solder in to place\
Install remaining Column PCB assemblies securing all components with their associated nuts and washers.
