The PolyDAC was a 4-channel MIDI-CV Converter originally designed by Paul Maddox. Later the design was released to the general public.

The PolyDAC(X) is now available here, with permission from Paul Maddox as a ready-assembled unit in a 1U 19" ABS rack enclosure and in kit form.

 

The unit is available with 3.5mm, 4mm or 1/4" jacks and is supplied with a 15VDC laptop-style power brick (has universal mains input)

All four outputs operate in parallel and are assigned to the same MIDI Channel
MONO2

Output 1 is assigned to a MIDI Channel.
Output 2 is pre-assigned to 'output channel 1' + 1
Output 3 is pre-assigned to 'output channel 1' + 2

Output 4 is pre-assigned to 'output channel 1' + 3

POLY
Polyphony Mode

IGNORE/STEAL

(Poly mode only)

This allows you to select what happens to incoming notes when you have 4 held down.
Poly1 new notes are ignored, Poly 2 the oldest note is replaced
ASSIGN
This allows you to assign MIDI CC’s to the 4 ‘CV’ outputs.
