Some modules not only require a 5V supply but also place a high loading (inrush current) demand
on the 5V rail at power-up.
The PSU-6 can deliver up to 3A at power on with a recommended steady-state loading of around 1.5A.
This high loading capacity makes it eminently suitable for driving modules from the Metasonix R Series.

Power is derived from the main incoming +15V supply so does not directly affect the +/-12V supply
although it can be connected to the +12V rail assuming the +12V supply can handle the resultant loading.
