1. Turn P1 full clockwise
2. Turn P1 anti-clockwise until all the LEDs have just turned off and then continue 1 more full turn
3. Check that each LED turns on in response to a light touch of its associated pad
4. Tweak P1 if needed until all pads are responding equally
